another "Quote of the Day" & more about "Bibinka" from Glad

& a comment about Bibinka...

this recipe is really good enough for Starbucks, b/c i can't even count the number of compliments i get on it at every party we have. i love it so much that every time we have an occasion to see my girlfriend mary, i always ask her to make it, pleeeeeze! & luckily enought she's always said yes.

so, if it's good enought for Starbucks, anyone interested in beginning a small business distributing this product...to Starbucks to begin w/?! i'm always coming up w/ little business ideas like this & it would be nice to someday get the ganas (balls in spanish i think) to get up off my butt & do it! let me know if you know anything about developing a business plan...

Bibinka!

Have you ever tasted Bibinka? Bibinka is a Pilipino dessert. Compliments of Gladys (via her friend Mary) here is a recipe. It tastes soooooo good. I'm surprised they don't offer it at Starbucks. ; )

American Bibinka
2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups whole milk (no lowfat/nonfat)
1.5 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 box philadelphia cream cheese (original)
1/4 cup butter (not margarine)
1 large aluminum roasting pan

heat oven to 350 degrees. mix flour, milk, sugar & eggs until blended w/ no lumps. pour into large aluminum roasting pan. bake for 10 minutes. meanwhile, cut cream chees into little squares. after 10 minutes of baking, take out cake & put cream chees squares all over top of cake. put cake back into oven & bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean (about 25 minutes). meanwhile melt butter. after cake is done, take out & put melted butter on top & sprinkle a little sugar on top of the butter. put back into the oven on the top rack & broil to brown the top, about 1 minute (you must watch closely b/c it will burn very quickly). DONE!

New Zoo Review

Here are a few photos from The Loo Zoo. Believe it or not, Kaylin AND Malia took some of the photos. Can you guess which ones?

Take Me Out To the Ball Game

This is a photo from PacBell Park last year that I came across. Janine got free tickets to the section behind home plate. We went through an unfamiliar underground passageway to get the section. During the game, the camera man almost caught me in the background for the big screen, but I swooped my head down to hide. (Whew!) One of the co-stars from the spoof movie, "Starsky and Hutch," was seated in the section next to us. We tried to inconspicuously take a photo of him but missed. We had a ball. ; ) Posted by Hello
