Meet Pudge

Short for Pudgy? Possibly. He's my sister's cat, adopted from the Peninsula Humane Society several years ago. I went to spent some time with my sister over the weekend. If you love lap cats, you would probably fall in love with Pudge. He's very friendly...and pretty much content falling asleep or laying on someone's lap all day! Ah, the life of a cat...

Didn't the gang have a plan to meet for Mai Tais in Maui during the week of June 26th??

I must've gotten my calendar mixed up because I could've sworn we said that we'd all meet up in Maui for some sun and mai tais. Hahaha!! The Loos found Christina in Maui and she was wondering where everyone was too!

Funny story........and probably shocking to most of you... the Loo Family just came back from an "unplanned" ...yes, it was a "spur of the moment" week in Maui... Really! Well the story goes like this.... Christina's whole family had planned a trip to Maui months ago. We offered to watch their cars while they were away. After dropping the rest of her family off at the airport, Christina was the last to leave for Maui on the evening of the 24th. With 2 of the Terjesen cars sitting in front of our house, Ken felt the itch to be in Maui too. I thought he had one too many beers but he asked if I wanted to pack up the kids and join the Terjesens in Maui. He wasn't joking.

We checked our calendars.....nothing much going on for the week.....Ken was able to take a week off.....we found 3 tickets using our airline miles (amazing!) and we found an inexpensive condo right near the Terjesens! It was meant to be........so we booked our tickets on Saturday (the 25th)....packed our bags......and boarded the airplane bound for Maui on Sunday (the 26th). We still can't believe we did this!!

We spent 5 days just hanging out and enjoying the warm tropical weather. Kaylin and Malia loved playing and swimming with Gianna (Christina's niece)! We certainly did not regret just picking up and going on a trip! I can now say that this is the most spontaneous thing I've ever done!

Don't worry.......while sipping on our tropical drink........Christina and I thought about everyone.......by the way........are you sure we didn't set a date to meet in Maui????? :-)
